ARS Rash and Anti-Histamines

I had a potential exposue on June 6th. Exactly 6 days later i woke up and had a rash (red flat spots for the most part, though on my side there was something that resembled blisters) on the majority of my body, excepting face, chest and neck. I took anti-histamines and the rash cleared up immediately. Over the last few days i have continued taking the anti-histamines however the rash has flared up very briefly, concentrating on the wrist, knees, lower back and buttocks. It is mainly round, flat red spots which are well spaced out. When this rash appears it generally dies down again within 15 minutes.

I have also felt slightly tired over the last few days and have had a sore throat with raised lymph nodes. My appetite hasnt been as it normally is either, though since first beginning to worry that the symptoms could be a sign of infection i have been so stressed i have been hardly able to think straight never mind eat.

I went to the doctor today, however although they have ordered a blood analysis they seemed very non-plussed by my symptoms e.g. never made any direct mention until i had brought it up and even after that gave it no more than a passing word.

So although i realise i will get definitive results when im tested, i have at leats a month to wait so would appreciate some help trying to get myself prepared, whether it be for the worst or best news. I guess what im asking is if it is normal/possible that an ARS rash will immediately disappear with antihistamines and then only return sporadically and for short periods? And if it is normal to start to experience these symptoms within 6-7 days of possibe infection?

Any possible advice will be greatly appreciated.

Has nothing to do with ARS. ARS rashes don't itch and are not bumps.

Dear Teak.

I know I sound like another hypochondriac, but I had a rash on my chest about 7-9 itchy bumps. They lasted about a day and cleared up with antihistamines. My other symptoms were night sweats but no fever. I would really appreciate hearing your thoughts on this. Thank you.

ARS rash if one does have it looks like hives and look like blisters they don't go away during the day even with medications. Symptoms if one does have ARS comes on 2-4 weeks post infection and last 1-2 weeks.

Teak, thanks for your quick reply. Could you possibly elaborate a little more on your answer (i.e. how can you tell its isnt an ARS rash). Im very worried at the moment and would appreciate any further advice/knowledge you could give.
