ARS SYMPTOMS

About a month and a half ago I performed fellation on another man(he did not ejeculate in my mouth). His status is unknown. I have most of the ARS symptoms now and I am very worried. How great was my exposure? And If I take an oraquick now would the test be somewhat reliable?

Hi, We are now closing this thread as you've been conclusively told yours was a no-risk exposure. We wish you the best.

So the 1 in 2500 figure on the goverment sites don't mean anything?

No idea what site you mean (please don't provide the link as everyone here agrees that the subject is closed) but no one in history has caught it from oral so keep that  in mind and try to forget surfing around for things to scare you.

Take the test as outlined above if it makes you relax but no sense asking anymore about your risk because everyone on this board will say what I said.
Should a negative oraquick at 8 weeks put my kind at ease? I am terrified that this one 5 minutes of me performing fellation on another male could have infected me.

You have zero risk with oral no matter what the situation was, so if your "symptoms" are real they are due to a cold or anything else but HIV that makes those symptoms. But not HIV, not now or ever so you are wasting your money on Oraquick - and your energy on worrying too.

However most people who fear they are dying of HIV get naturally frightened all day long and tense up and sweat so much that they imagine things, so that is the highest probability to be your situation as you have described it.

Either way, imagined or from a cold, they have nothing to do with HIV, so see doc if you think your health is deteriorating.

Thank you I will probably spend in oraquick because better safe than sorry. Thanks a lot i will stop googling and thinking about the symptoms.
If you insist on testing an oraquick test now is a waste of money. At 6 weeks a 3rd generation rapid blood test is way more accurate at this time and very unlikely to change.
I agree with iommi, at 6 weeks Oraquick is really not reliable. You would be better off with a 6 weeks duo test that would be fully conclusive or a rapid blood test that would be 95% conclusive at that point.
Thank you guys very much
HIV has been around for multi-decades so the science proving your idea is wrong is well established. No one in history got it from oral so you are not thinking reality science if you test for HIV.

You should be looking into something you can get instead, like STD or something else your doctor diagnoses, instead of just self-diagnosing based on emotional "ARS symptoms".
