About HIV fluids

Hello. My question is: is it possible for vaginal fluids on the outside of condom to transmit HIV after sex? Even if its been a couple of seconds after the intercourse and the condom is rubbed on an open bleeding wound? I'v read a lot of forums and people have many different opinions. Some say that HIV becomes inactive the second it exposes to air and is unable to infect. And some say that it is still active and able to infect for a couple of minutes. Which opinion is true?

I know it could not be enough and the time from the condom and the fluid onthe condom and the wound...everything makes this no risk.

And you have an 80 day negative which proves you don't have HIV.

So you think that the amount of fluids that i could of picked up and rubbed it into the wound could not of been enough? I an so sorry for being so annoying it's just this anxiety is killing me. I did take an ELISA test around 80 days post exposure and it came back negative. But its not the 90 days mark. And i called a consultant today and she told me that the window period is 3-6 months... and says that they use 4th generation tests. I am not from USA. I think that they are unqulified for telling me that it can even take up to one year for HIV to show. When i took the 80 day test the other consultant told me that i can be 200% sure i am HIV free. I am pretty sure that the test they use are all 3rd generation.

No person on this website will tell you that. Also the info you have read in other places is just general info and does not take into consideration the many factors involved (minimal fluid, time lapse, depth of wound).

I touched a bleeding wound with possible vaginal fluids on my finger. Why do people say that its possible to get infected if the infected blood or fluids come in contact with an open bleeding wound even without toucing? And you say that HIV is not transmitted from touch.

well its kind of embarassing :). I touched my penis with the condom on through the intercourse and then picked my nose and tore a sore or something.. my nose started to bleed. I pressed my finger againts it and cleaned it with a tissue later. The memory of this is killing me! I'v read that if the infected fluids come in contact with moucus membranes there is a risk of infection. In my situation the vaginal fluids came in contact with my moucus membranes and on top of that i had an open wound which was bleeding.

No not the second but in 1 second is when it starts to break down. Where would you have an open bleeding wound?

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
