Accuracy of rapid hiv test (finger) at 6 weeks?

Hi guys, thanks for your replies in advance. I just had a rapid hiv test at a clinic tested on my finger blood (don't know what the name is) and it was negative.
My exprosure: proetected anal sex but condom broked.
Symptoms: Lymh node swelling, fever, neck pain, muscle and joint pain. all came togeter 5 weeks post-exporsure.
Questions:
1. What's the accuracy or rapid hiv finger test? I have heard it's 95% for 4th gen blood test, what about for finger quick one?
2. If the symptoms is hiv-related, can the antibody be test via quick tested at this time? In another word, if the antibody cant be tested by quick hiv test at 6 weeks, can I say these symptoms which show at 5 weeks have nothing to do with hiv?

I will go test again. Just need some help to peace my mind. Thank you.

I only read the Drs. reply not members in the link.
There is a common time to test positive and that includes after ARS begins. But the reason for percentages is because our immune systems are unique and there is always those who will seroconvert a little later.
If you were the receptive partner during your condom break, you experienced the most dangerous sex act to become infected.
The peace of mind I can offer is that many have experienced symptoms and turned out hiv negative.
HIV is not automatically transmitted if one is exposed.
You don't know if you were actually exposed to hiv.
Your 6 week negative plus timing of your symptoms is encouraging that you'll remain negative.
Request a 4th generation test if it is available. It will be a more acurate.

The symptoms are still not gone. I am just wondering one thing, if one has the TRUE ars symptoms, does that mean the antibodies have the enough amount to be tested by 3rd or 4th gen method after a week? In another word, If the test shows neg a week after the symptoms start, can we at least say these sypmtoms are not hiv-related?

I have make an appointment of the blood test next week, just need to peace my mind. Thanks.

Rapid blood tests perform very close to lab tests. They are excellent in detecting hiv.
At 6 weeks whether it's 3rd or 4th generation you are mostly in the clear.
As for 10 minutes, it depends if the manufacturer states if that is the time duration. Next test ask for the paper work.

Your self-diagnosed symptoms likely all came together at once due to your fear building and making you over-analyze your body while sweating and tensing up in fear. You have no medical training so nothing is pointing toward you having HIV.
Thanks for the replies iommi and AnxiousNoMore.

Oh I just forgot to add, It takes just 10 mins to get the result of this rapid test. Is this too fast?
