I know I was not supposed to test again. This is third test. Two through stdexpress both negative and this one through home access. Just wondered about accuracy of this test.

Test Result Negative
Type of Test HIV-1 Antibody
Date Sample Tested 5/11/10
A "negative" result means antibodies to HIV-1 were not found in your test sample. A negative
test result generally means you are not infected with HIV-1. This service may yield a negative
result if you were infected during the six months before this testing, because antibodies to
HIV-1 do not develop immediately after infection occurs. You should be evaluated by a
physician of your choice if you become ill or if you remain concerned that you could be
infected with HIV-1.
INFORMATION FOR YOUR PHYSICIAN: The test used for this analysis is the bioMerieux
Vironostika® HIV-1 Microelisa System or the Genetic Systems™ rLAV EIA. If this EIA was
nonreactive or not repeatedly reactive, no confirmatory testing was performed and the result
was reported negative. If the EIA was repeatedly reactive, then an IFA confirmatory test, the
Sanochemia Pharmazeutika Fluorognost™ HIV-1 IFA, was performed and was found to be
negative for HIV-1 antibodies. If there is a chance your patient could have been exposed to
HIV-1 during six months prior to this test date, we recommend re-testing him/her with an FDAapproved
HIV-1 Screening test such as the bioMerieux Vironostika® HIV-1 Microelisa System
or the Genetic Systems™ rLAV EIA. The vast majority of HIV-1 infected individuals develop
antibodies within 6 months of exposure. Vironostika® is a trademark of bioMerieux
Corporation, Durham, NC, Genetic Systems™ is a trademark of Bio-Rad Laboratories and
Fluorognost™ is a trademark of Sanochemia Pharmazeutika, Vienna, Austria.
