I have survived by reading this forum for the past few months. I was in a 'friends with benefits' relationship with someone who adamantly claimed to be HIV
positive a few months ago. Whether she knew this or not, I don't know, but now that she knows she believes she has been infected over a year. I feel bad for her, and the anxiety, of course, was crazy. Testing negative at 4 months post vaginal
and 3 months post oral is huge and according to everything I've read is conclusive. Both Dr. Hook and Dr. Handsfield know their stuff and needless to say, I was playing with fire. I got lucky and this forum helped sustain me. My one piece of advice to everyone, for what it's worth, is if you get into a mutual partnership, do a test such as Home Access where you can both write down the anonymous number and watch the blood stick and then call on each others' results, which they allow 3 times. Good luck.
Congrats on your 6month neg! I just had a 5 month neg but I'm experiencing a few symptoms. I also had a 9.5 wk and 3.5 mnth neg. Its hard accepting my results when I feel lk this. Doc says I'm gd tho.
