Are these tests that specific in finding "hiv" antibodies? The more I think about the more I feel hiv is more complex than just ruling it out by not finding antibodies. Its just unfathomable to me that tests are really that specific!
ELISA test looks for antibodies.
What I always wanted to know is: what do
Elisas look for when you test for HIV?
Correction. I meant, you can't be more sure than a 9 month ELISA test (not 'that' a 9 month ELISA test)
If one is HIV +, the test would show in 3 months. One does not need to wait for 9 months. 9 months is well beyond any doubt. As I said, you can't be more sure that a 9 month ELISA test.
Whatever symptoms ya are experiencing, see a doctor. It has nothing to do with HIV.
And stop googling for HIV symptoms. It doesn't help at all.
Move on lady!!
So if I was pos the test would have shown sooner that I was pos if I was. I'm so new to all of this sorry
Yes, you can't be more sure than a 9 month ELISA test.
home access is an approved and reliable test.
kindly move on...you DONT have hiv.
I jus don't no cuz symptoms
A 3 month ELISA test is more than conclusive to prove you don't have HIV. You have taken the test 9 months post exposure. You are definitely not HIV+.
You don't want to take PCR test because of its high rate of false positives. When you already know that you have taken the test well outside the window period, why do ya wanna worry yourself sick over something that you already know- YOU ARE NOT HIV+.
Standard Antibody is the gold standard.
I've seen on here pcr is chosen to be the golden standard over these damn elisas.
go back and RE-READ what teak has told you.
a CONCLUSIVE test result is 3 months post exposure. YOU DONT HAVE HIV ! ! !
Is Home Access Tests good to use?
What is a window period is it 6-9 months?
Your aunt is misinformed. You don't have HIV.
