sores. I just want all this to go away so bad, I did hear from a friend on this
Site that PCR testing seems the best answer to my questions I so painfully desire. So is a negative Elisa
test false negative at 9 months? Should I test
Again at the year mark? I'm just a 20 year female with absolutely no money to check into treatment. I'm dependant on my aunt. I'm so sad.
A 3 month ELISA test is more than conclusive to prove you don't have HIV. You have taken the test 9 months post exposure. You are definitely not HIV+.
You don't want to take PCR test because of its high rate of false positives. When you already know that you have taken the test well outside the window period, why do ya wanna worry yourself sick over something that you already know- YOU ARE NOT HIV+.
If one is HIV +, the test would show in 3 months. One does not need to wait for 9 months. 9 months is well beyond any doubt. As I said, you can't be more sure that a 9 month ELISA test.
Whatever symptoms ya are experiencing, see a doctor. It has nothing to do with HIV.
And stop googling for HIV symptoms. It doesn't help at all.
Move on lady!!
Are these tests that specific in finding "hiv" antibodies? The more I think about the more I feel hiv is more complex than just ruling it out by not finding antibodies. Its just unfathomable to me that tests are really that specific!
