Answer please! Why cant HIV be passed on through inanimate object?

Hello,
I recently posted a question, saying that a lady cut her self by accident, then cut me atleast 5-40 seconds later and if there was HIV+ wet or dry blood, can I be at risk of HIV. I was told by Teak(not calling you out) that it cannot be transmitted in this manner. I seen on different sites, that if wet blood enters a cut, even after being through air, you can get HIV. If I had the site, I'd post the link. I am asking why can't it be transmitted if there was wet HIV+ blood on the glass that cut me, and got into my blood. I have been freaking out for a while now. I recently got think I got GERD, or now I have a sore throat and i am freaking out even more about it. Please answer and thanks.

To recap, my question is:
" I am asking why can't it be transmitted if there was wet HIV+ blood on the glass that cut me, and got into my blood."

Thanks again.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug abusers
Mother to child

An irrational question because the HIV virus becomes inactive once exposed to air and therefore unable to infect.
