Answer to teak

Hello Teak. Just want you to ask why are you recommend CDC´s 3 months testing window period but on the other hand you don´t respect oral sex risk proclaiming by CDC. So is CDC a reliable source or not? I had unprotected oral, you say NO RISK at all. But if I said that my risk was unprotected anal, and had DUO test at 4-6 weeks-negative, you will paiste the CDC guidelines and say that the test was no conclusive. Thank you

I am not here to debate you on this subject but I am here to give risk assestment so I am not going to continue this much further.

Do I doubt what the Dr's on this site say...NO. What is one statement that they make, that neither has read nor seen a case of HIV from oral sex.

And Dr.Hook also commonly says that nothing in this world for mathmatical reasons can be zero, he also says that while he and Dr.HHH say low risk that the word low, no, little can all be used interchangably.

You respect CDC and FDA window period, ok. But show me one website, where experts say that oral sex is absolutely no risk. /no forums about HIV but reliable, proffesioonal, medical web site/ Your doctors on experts forum say that oral is low risk in 99% of their answers. Low risk is not No risk.

Do you think that doctors are wrong?

It is not only the CDC but also the FDA and manufacture of the tests that say 3 months is conclusive. Since this is a US based forum we use those guidelines. If this was a UK based forum maybe we would say different, but it is not and we do not. 3 month antibody test is the only approved diagnostic test in America currently, until that changes the answer will stay the same.

As for oral sex you can go on 100 different websites and find 100 different answers. We use no risk based on several studies that have been done. The CDC was not part of those studies so they do not follow that same recommendation. Also if you look on the website they post anything that has been claimed so they can not say not a risk for oral sex because they are a government agency.

Bottom line is you either accept what you have been told her or you don't.
