Antibiotics question

Hi I've tested negative for HIV and other std's. At the time I took the test I just funished a course of antibiotics (can't remember the name). I had been on two different courses of antibiotics a month or so before the third course. This was all due to a persistent throat infection. I've read that anti biotics would not affect the HIV  results, is this also true when the docs had me on and off antibiotics at around the time of my exposure? I suppose what I'm thinking is that antibiotics supress the immune system and delay HIV antibody development. Thanks for your help

No form of medication or any medicine but chemotherapy can suppress your immune response to the HIV. Seems you have already tested negative conlusively, it's the time to move on. Don't get your self in the vicious ordeal of speculating HIV through different possibilities and scopes, it can be very dangerous. The first thing now you need to do is get off these HIV support forums and absolutely no browsing the internet for HIV.

I can tell you about several individuals who've been in this ordeal and apparently, that has taken too much out of them. You certainly don't wnat to be one of them. Move on!

Good luck!

Thanks lizzie. I'm guessing you mean "no all the antibiotics make no difference to the test results" right?
