Antibody tests and low CD4 count

If someone unknowingly was living with HIV for years and two recent antibody tests came back negative, could that mean that there aren't enough antibodies to be detected anymore, or is he truely negative?  I have tested negative with the Home Access HIV test and the Oraquick Advance test this week, but I am just curious if there aren't enough antibodies left to be detected by those tests?  Or will such tests detect antibodies far into low CD4 counts?

You are not right. Antibodies will be detectable if the person contracted HIV.

So does that mean that if I had HIV for many years, it should still be detected by antibody testing even today?

I've had HIV for 25 years and yes your test would still detect antibodies.
