Antigen test

What do you think of the p24 antigen test in isolation taken at 18 days. I read the protien establish itself at 10 days and peaks at 14 staying high for about a further 14 days and then will fluctuate during the remaining course of the illness

SO, DNA PCR (qualitative) is reliable after 2 weeks? I had a high risk exposure and did a DNA PCR at 16days, came back negative. No one tells me if it is god enough? of course i will go for the antibody test soon.

P24 test: The right test is  p24AG + AB test taken at the 28 th day after the exposure, 18 th day is encouraging but retest at the 28th day for more relaibility.

PCR : A DNA PCR is conclusive at 28 days after the exposure & RNA PCR is conclusive after 9 - 11 days after the exposure

*PCR tests are not stand alone test it should be backed up by an antibody test

DNA PCR done at the 16th day is very very encouraging, make sure you back it up with a 6 week antibody test it's highly unlikely that you have acquired the virus, if you ask me, I'd say ease up!
