Anxious

Hello doctor and all, i have been to Amsterdam RLD (window girls) 9 weeks ago, i had few sessions of protected sex with condom on in all the episodes (both oral and vaginal) and there was no breakage, i have been reading quite alot of articles on the net regarding HIV symptoms and got worried, I have had a sinusitis infection lately for last 2 weeksi have cough some times.

Can you say what is the risk of catching HIV in my situation? Would a HIV test be indicated? and also do the goverment really put procedures for testing in place for the window girls? Pls respond as i am worried

You had no risk, we are not going to engage in an discussion that is going to go around in a circle because you still have anxiety about the issue.

Again you had no risk.

Hi JeanClaude,

if the lymph nodes near the groin are enlarged are they visible? do we feel any pain ? i have a slight lump over the right hand side of stomach, it is exactly towards the center of lower abdomen on the urinary bladder.
Does this mean a swollen lymph node?

I know this might sound stupid but just wanted to clarify with you as you have earlier cleared my doubts and eased my anxiety

ZERO RISK as you've engaged in PROTECTED SEX. NO testing recommended from this activity. Regardless of what you've read,HIV can NOT be diagnosed by ANY symptoms. 'Window Girls" are licensed through the Health Ministry in Amsterdam. They are required to submit to periodic HIV tests regularly.
