Any Risk From Strap-On?

Any Risk From Strap-On?

Hello,

I was wondering if somebody could advise on my daft actions please.

I visited a UK massage parlour where a young lady entered me (i am male) with a strap-on. I do not remember if a condom was used nor the time since their last "customer" would have used it.
Please could one of you great volunteers advise on the HIV risk (if any) and/or any testing required, explain if possible your reasons behind your advice.

Many thanks.

That sounds like good news then. I take it deacti ation is only a couple of minutes? Your reasaurance is appreciated.

Not even minutes. Very short time after is it exposed outside of the body.

Some of the docs on here said minutes (albeit "at most") which is why I mentioned it.

Difficilt to tell thinking back what was or was not dry mind you!

Unless you walked in right as the last customer had that done was just finished and then it was inserted into you...you don't have a risk.

No I certainly did not. I would have expected it to be at least 10 minutes, if someone had been using it.

I guess then that no test needed as it could not have been less than 5 minutes or so? Has been on my mind a while this.

Just don't keep posting about a no risk issue.

I could start a new thread if you guys wish. But I am curious if a strap on was used in for example a three way. Where the person using the strap on person A and then immediately (just mere seconds) uses it on person B. Would it be risky on person B.

I heard HIV is a frigile virus, but how frigile is the big question. I have read that HIV cannot infect outside it's host, but mere seconds?

Hi all, me for one last time.

I went to the clinic looking for the oral swab test however I was given the finger-prick one that has been advertised quite a bit.

I'm sure those who have responded to my worry aren't surprised, but the test was negative even after asking the lady twice if she was sure!

Many thanks to Teak, Lizzie and Vance, I hope you are not too offended by the fact I still went and got myself checked out after your advice, but as said...you can't always stop anxiety too well without getting conclusive proof right in front of ones face!

Cheers!
