Asymptomatic Herpes a possible Tranmission of HIV

by WorriedSick17, Dec 17, 2007 03:50AM
Im a 25 yr old male working in Kuwait and behaved so foolishly on my birthday in Bahrain and had protected oral and vaginal sex with a CSW. I am loosing my mind because a month later i have developed what i believe to be a swollen lymph node in my right groin and it is sometimes tender when i move my leg and sit down. The woman touched my anus for a minute and also perfomed a hand job on me for about 1 minute unprotected. The whole situation only lasted 10 mins because i freaked out and stopped.

I tested after five days for everything, hep block , hiv, herpes, everything bacterial, and its all negative (figured i would establish a baseline for future testing). I have seen my doctor about my groin and repeatedly he has told me that it is not swollen and that you can feel your lymph nodes in your groin especially if your a thin person. I constantly touch it and feel it during the day out of anxiety and worry and I think that could be making it worse and more tender. I guess my question is that im worried about contracting herpes 2 from this woman, and if she was HIV + then im worried that I might have a case of asymptomatc herpes 2 that is enlarging my right groin lymph node, (no blisters, sores, or fever, after five weeks) that could have transmitted HIV to me. Im not sure bout the depression and anxiety is making me tired and weak, and depressed and just getting through the days is becoming quite the task.

What can anyone make out of this situation? I know that Teak is well respected on this forum and has much knowledge to give in regards to everyones potential exposures. If there is anyone that can offer me some insight i would greatly appreciate it as I am feeling more and more alone and aloof as the doctors keep telling me that I dont have an enlarged lymph node and that I need to stop worrying about HIV transmission. I suppose I just wanted to gather some more information. Any help would be great, thank you.
