Athritis again

I am so unlucky to have this!! Almost every joint aches.  Ankles worst.  Knees, elbows, fingers (fingers very bad too).  I have almost convinced myself that I don't have HIV but now I sort of becoming worried again.  The doc I went to see for joints recognized my joint problem after only a glance of them - they are so obvious!  Can I get this not from any of HIV, HCV or other STDs?

...... what do you think?  Should I get tested for other virus?

Oh bad.  Provided it is not related to HIV, I should be grateful.  Hopefully it is not some other deadly virus.

Auto-immune disorders are tough to treat, but there are definitely some ways to alleviate the pain, like a TNF-alpha blocker.
Deal with the rheumatologist, I say.

good question. some auto-immune disorders can be treated, some can be kept under check, but the problem with most auto-immune disorders is that we can't diagnopse them as such and we keep getting medicated for other reasons.

and yes i am hinting at rheumatoid arthritis.just my opinion
what does u r doctor think?

If your arthralgia is not accompanying fever but if your joints are swollen and look red, u might wanna go get tested for auto-antibodies. I had a similar problems but turns out i have few auto-immune disorders.
