of visible blood on the inner rim of the cup. It appear dried as far as I could tell although I couldn't be sure that there wasn't fresh blood that was just washed into my mouth from drinking from it. I know it was not my blood as I had no cuts
or inside of mouth.Of course, i immediately threw the cup out.
My thought would be that this would be of no risk even if the blood were not completely dried. However, I cannot get this out of my mind (after all, there was a completely unknown persons blood on the inside of a cup I drank from). Anyone with knowledge on the subject, please tell me. If this blood was to any extent fresh, would there be even the SLIGHTEST chance of contracting hiv
this wouldn't be affected by the drink containing high levels of sodium (sports drink) or irritated gums? I have read on other sites and from some of the doctors here responses to other members that HIV
can live in fluids containing salt. Elsewhere, I've read that getting blood in your mouth could be a risk factor.
I don't want to beat a dead horse, but after having unprotected sex with my partner I had a nightmare about this and that I could have gotten sick and gotten them sick as well. Would there even be a remote need for me to get a test? its only been about a week.
