Blood after oral sex

Blood after oral sex

About 3 weeks ago I received oral sex from a Latin American CSW

She performed oral sex on me for about 2 minutes with condom. I then practically "did it” in her mouth. This too was bit rough, and I did not bother to check if the condom was intact. I then proceeded with ******* between her ****. I then came there. My “cum” did not seem quite white as other times. It was bit off-white, little pinkish. I wiped my genital area with paper towel. Did not check if there was any blood or anything. I then put my boxer and clothes on. But while I was peeing, I looked down on the commode and saw something that looked like blood. It was not spread, rather like a 1/4-inch wide and 2-inch long line. I immediate asked her if she was bleeding from her gum but she denied she bled.
1. After a few days I had a canker sore on the gum (hard part) of one tooth. 2. After about a week I had a second canker sore inside my lower lip. Btw - after a few days from the incident I started having night sweats. I had night sweat in the past, but this time it seemed more than usual. 3. After about 10 days of the incident, I came down with rashes near my collar area, chest and where the breast bone is. They were about 2/3 mm wide; skin raised, dry, non-itchy and about 25 in numbers. They were in between my skin color and little pinkish/reddish. I am of Indian origin. I was also tired, sore muscle, few pimple/zits on the face, itchy scabies on the head etc. But most of these went away after a week.

Now here are my questions:
Q1: Have you heard of guys bleeding after oral sex?
Q2: Does this sound like typical ARS symptoms?
Q3: I have read that oral sex is very low risk. But what if it was her blood? What if she injured my skin?
Q4: Are these ARS rash? I looked on the Internet to find some example of ARS rash. Couldn't find anything specific. Do you know what ARS rash look like?
Q5: Can you have ARS with rash only, no fever?

Your question, particularly the first part is a bit hard to follow.  Nonetheless I think I get your questions.  Please realize that the condom did not break. If it had, it would have split wide open, not just "leaked".  Condoms protect from HIV, thus your exposures were limited to protected oral sex and mutual masturbation using her breasts.  Both of these are safe sex and not associated  with HIV transmission, thus you are not at risk for HIV.  Is for what the red material was, I doubt that it was blood.  Blood would have smeared/spread.  Now, on to your questions:

1.  I suppose persons with gum disease might bleed after performing oral sex and persons receiving oral sex might bleed if bitten.  Neither of these is relevant to you however since you wore a condom.
2.  A rash and muscle aches can be part of the ARS however when these symptoms occur, they are almost always caused by something else like a community acquired, non-STD, non-HIV viral infection (the "flu"), not HIV.  I suspect this may have been the case for you as well.
3.  Still very low risk.  Remember, you used a condom.  Even without a condom it would have been low risk however.
4.  The rash of the ARS can vary a great deal.  You had a rash which resembled the ARS.  Even rashes which resemble the ARS rash however are almost always caused by something other than HIV.  Rashes are common, HIV is not.
5.  Fever is typically part of the ARS.  The absence of the ARS, as well as the very low risk of your exposure make it unlikely that your rash was ARS.

I realize that having told you that some of your symptoms resemble part of the ARS, you may want to go get tested.  While I don't think it is necessary, I understnad that you might want to get tested for you peace of mind. If you decide to get tested, please wait until at least 4 weeks after your exposure to get tested.  AT that time your results would detect 85-90% of HIV infections acquired 4 weeks earlier.  EWH

Correction: I took the condom off before proceeding with sex between her boobs.

Hi Doctor,

Thanks for your quick reply!

Now I am even more worried when you say my rashes resemled ARS rashes. I wish I could send you a pic how they sort of looked like. Is there a way I can send a pic?

What about the canker sores? Are they of any importance to you as far as ARS goes?

I don't think I had fever, flu or cold. I did however had night sweats. And my muscle ache was mostly on my right arm. It was not all over my body. I lifted a couple of lugges as I traveled 10 days after the incident.

When you say "you may want to go get tested" are you suggesting cause you suspect something?

Thanks!

Please reread his last paragraph!!!!
You did not contract hiv from this exposure it seems to me that reading your post you have searched to much on hiv rashes and symptoms.
Guess what when one does this you get all the classic symptoms of ARS which in reality your anxiety and stress levels go why up. Then the body reacts and all kinds of things happen.
Dont read on symptoms and look for pictures this tells you nothing at all your risk was very lowwwwwwwwwwwwww ease up and stay off those sites that will scare the mess out of you.

Canker sores have no relationship to ARS and are not something to worry about.

We do not look at pictures.  Doing so would be irrelevant to what I have said. If you want more information, search this site  and you will find that we have NEVER suggested that symptoms are useful for evaluating HIV risk or the need for testing.

Finally, read my answer about testing again.  You have NO medical indication for testing.  Howevver, as proven by your follow-up posts, you are very anxious about this.  I suggested you might wish to consider testing ONLY in order to put your mind at rest, NOT because there is any medically based concern.  EWH

Hi Doctor:

One more quick question.

The muscle right below my left eye's lower lid (not the eye-lid itself) has been pretty much conitniously twiching for more than a week now. Have you heard of eye-twiching a symptom PHI?

Thanks!

No, a twiching eye is not a manifestation of HIV.  It is likely to reflect anxiety however.  EWH

Hi Doc,

Sorry to bother you again. I forgot to mention that I also had fungal infection on my side bars and on the penis skin. They went awy in one day after applying antifungal cream. What's your opinion on this? ARS related?

Thanks.

No, this is not ARS.  No further anxeity driven questions please.  You really have nothing to realistically worry about   EWH
