Blood exposure.

I was out with some friends and we noticed this man who had been injured, we went over to see if he was ok, I touched him on the arm not noticing that there was blood there. When I looked at my hands they had his blood all over then. I think he had had a nose bleed and had wiped the blood on his arm. Anyway about 8 hours earlier I has cut my finger- it was quite deep but had stopped bleeding, although I would still consider it to be a fresh cut a's a scab hadn't formed.

Is there any risk of infection?

Thankyou for the quick reply. I know it was probably a silly question it was just playing on my mind.

NO RISK from what you describe,

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

Hope this helps
