Your post said you found this blood 5 months ago. To quote you:
About five momths ago my brother stayed with us and used our shower. After he left i saw what lookd like blood on the shower door and shower door handle. Ive been avoiding it ever since. There is a sponge i keep on the door handle too that i havent used since he came to visit because i was worried about bloood inside it not being exposed to air. Today i took a shower and i dont mean to be graphic but i masturbated and accidentally touched what could be blood on the door and the sponge.
There is NO WAY HIV will survive this long.
Then you said you touched your penis. This again is not going to transmit the virus just by touching your penis.. The virus has to be PLACED inside your urethra by penetrative sex to allow for infection.
Now if you are hypothetically asking if it had just happened today? My answer will stay the same. HIV CANNOT infect outside the body once exposed to the environment. Relax. You are fine. Good for you though being vigilant.
I would recommend reading through the archives on how HIV is transmitted. It will enlighten you.
not hiv and any kind of sti transmitted this way.
Well what about me using the shower the same day as him?because its not like i had another shower to use. And masturbating etc. cause i didnt notice the blood for a while
Short answer is NO!! HIV will NOT survive for 5 months even in a sponge. You don't need to worry about it.
On a lighter note. I assume you had another bathroom to shower in the last 5 months? LOL.
Sorry I usually never do that.
