Blood from ear to urethra

Blood from ear to urethra

Hi All,

Very different question and hope you will all answer me as i wish to hear from you experts.  I was at the gym working out and had my ear-buds in listening to music and they kept falling out so i had to continually keep putting them back in my ear.  About 15 mins into my workout i see red specs on my earphones so i think maybe i got some blood from someone who had been using the pullup bar a min or so before me.  So i wipe them of with my finger and don't really think about it as i don't really know if it was blood and put them back in and continue working out.

The issue i have is i then go home to take a shower and completely forget about this and take a shower.  I wash my body with body wash not antibacterial or anything like that just regular body wash.  I am now worried because i washed my ears and then my penis and could have allowed some of that blood if any into my urethra.  I washed myself good an immediately remembered as i was doing it and stopped rinsed off my private and even got out and made myself pee. I washed myself good and now i feel a burning in the head of my private and don't know if this should be worrisome or if it is just in my head. Is there any risk to this situation.  I know hiv dies fast but if in my ear at the temp of 98.6 would it be able to survive? I took the shower about 4 hours after noticing the red spots on the ear-buds. Also would the water and the soap even though not antibacterial kill everything.I do have a shower filter so it takes out alot of the chorline.  Thank you for your replies and please answer on why no risk.  As you can see i do suffer from OCD and really just want to get past this episode with your guys help.

Sincerely Howard

hiv is not transmitted through environmental surfaces or inanimate objects.  once exposed to air, it becomes inactive and unable to infect.

doesnt matter what your ear temp was...what kind of soap you used or didnt use...or whether or not your water has chlorine in it.  you had NO risk

I concur with my fellow top answerer, zero risk.Hiv transmission via fomities is not possible because it is such a fragile virus outside the body that it becomes damaged and thus unable to infect. You're safer then the crown jewels in the UK.
