Blood on condom! Please clarify for me if you can

Blood on condom! Please clarify for me if you can

OK here's the scenario.

Last night I had sexual intercourse with female of unknown HIV status but she is definitely sexually active, with multiple partners.

After intercourse was finished I went to bathroom and removed condom at which time I notice some streaks of blood on outside of condom, it was not soaked/totally covered etc but it was more than just one tiny spot. The blood was very dark and seemed jelly like, not liquid. Maybe I'm analyzing the details of the blood too much.

Bottom line: there was some blood on the outside of the condom.

My concern:

After removing the condom if I touched my penis-does this pose a risk for HIV/hepatitis C? -I immediately took lysol disinfecting whipes to the whole genital area after I removed the condom.

Also, while penetrating, what if some blood got on to my pubic area/base of shaft (the area obviously not covered by condom, but obviously also not the area of penis that is inside of her)

Like if while penetration some blood sprinkled out on to shaft base does this pose a risk for HIV IF I HAD A MINOR/EXTREMELY SMALL abrasion/cut that was there from masturbation earlier in day? I'm talking about a tiny little potential opening.

My understanding is that HIV transmission occurs INSIDE the body etc and that for it to be transferred outside the body then two people would have to have huge gaping wounds that contacted etc, so then even if blood had gotten from inside her vagina on to my tiny masturbation friction cut then this would not be a risk? Similar to if I had fingered her and then masturbated and sustained a tiny cut?

What about the actual act of penetration-there's no way that any blood could have snuck under the bottom of condom and got into the head of my penis? Like if blood on base of shaft then leaked under the condom while condom slightly moves during penetration? Or would that blood already not have surviving HIV because it is outside of body/contacted air?

Bottom line:

1.Condom had blood on outside 2. what if I touched penis after touching condom after sex?
3. what about if blood coming from vagina got onto pubic area/base of shaft/area below condom during sex where I may have had a small/extremely minor masturbation friction opening from earlier in day? (in addition, there's no way this lower bottom area of penis could enter in vagina somehow bypassing the circular thick base of condom, correct? because if that part went inside of vagina then my penis would come out with condom still in her? )-I hope you can understand what I mean her....

Anyway, please let me know what you think. Thankyou very much.

disregard the "blood seemed jelly like, not liquid" comment. I think the reason is because it was mixing with lubricant/other vaginal secretion-it wasn't dripping/pure liquid...

From what you describe, there is NO RISK at all for HIV.

Thanks Nick- did my description of the blood affect your answer at all? I'm afraid that maybe there was more blood than I am describing/your picturing.

Also, what about HEP C? Was I at major risk?

"did my description of the blood affect your answer at all? I'm afraid that maybe there was more blood than I am describing/your picturing."

Yeah, that's the OCD talking :( lol, you should probably disregard that question.... there wasn't a huge amount of blood

Nick- did my description of the blood affect your answer at all? The blood volume does not change my answers - Still NO HIV RISK

Hep C can live for up to 4 days outside the host, But this would not be a true "Risk" for HEP C. I wouldnt worry about contracting Hep C and for sure not HIV

Please take any further HEP questions to the hep C forum.

Hope this helps
