Brief Male-Female Penetration

Brief Male-Female Penetration

On the 4th of July I had a very brief unprotected sexual penetration with a female. There was no ejaculation or anything, just maybe 30 seconds to a minute of penis to inner-vagina contact. I had no open wounds or sores. What are my risk factors for contrating HIV in this manner? Ive been tested and will get the results in a week or so, but would still like to know the probability since I'm in this state of limbo. Thanks

you have placed your self at risk and you need testing after 3month of exposure

She is more likely to contract from you , than you are from her. Even then, HIV is not a very effectively transmitted virus.

Nonetheless -  there is always a  certain degree of risk in any unprotected anal or vaginal sex, whether giving or receiving.

I think the stats are 1 in 1000 on average risk for the man for insertive vaginal sex if the female is already HIV pos, various factors need to be taken into account such as recent infection, high viral load, etc etc and it doesnt mean that you are ok to do it 999 times unprotected :-) !

But look - you were in there very  briefly and you have no guarantee she was HIV pos so I am guessing you have a low risk - just follow up your 6 week test with a 3 month one for safety's sake and try not to stress so much.
