Broken Condom (near the ring) - Risk level?

Hi. Im a 24 years old male. 2 Weeks ago, I was in China and had sex with a Chinese prostitute with unknown hiv status. I had my condom on during the sex. However, after I ejaculated, I pulled out and realized that the condom was broken (on the side, near the ring - the tip wasn't broken tho') I don't know how long I was inside her but I think it wasn't more than 3 minutes. As soon as I noticed that the condom was broken I rush to the washroom and clean my penis.

My question is: Assuming she was hiv+, is my risk lower than usual given that fact that pretty much of my urethra was still protected?

Thank you.

Hi zamzam4, thank you for your prompt reply. However, is it possible that the vaginal fluid enters into the condom through the broken hole on the side of the condom, and the fluid has come into contact with the urethra. Sorry for bothering further but I hope you could help me explain this to ease my worried mind. Thanks a lot.

As long as the head of your penis was covered during penetration (and it was) it is not a risk.

You do not need to worry about this.  Well done for using a condom, continue to do so and HIV does not need to be a concern for you.
