Has your boyfriend been tested or is he just assuming? If he hasn't been tested than he should do so.  No symptoms doesn't mean anything.  Gonorrhea and chlamydia can be passed to the throat, but you don't hear of this happening too often, and to be honest I'm not sure what the symptoms are orally, if there even are any.  It is rare to pass HIV orally though, I wouldn't worry about it.  Just a sore throat alone doesn't sound like symptomatic HIV anyway, and early HIV symptoms take quite a bit longer than a day to show up.  If it doesn't go away I would go to your doctor and tell him about you oral sex exposure, you might even just have a simple virus.  I hope this helps.

Leo,

You might want to get tested for other STDs but HIV is surely not the problem here, you can't acquire HIV like that.

You might find lot of data stating that oral sex is low risk, truly oral sex indeed is low risk from theoretical perspective but if you look at it practically, it's NO RISK

One needs to have a fresh gapping cut in the mouth or severe gum condition which has to profusely bleed and it has to come in contact with the infected fluid, consumption of semen is not the right mechanism of HIV transmission.

Hence, HIV testing is not warranted. Also, symptoms showing up a day after the incidence does not suggest HIV or sure.

not HIV.

See your Dr to find out what it is.
