Can HIV penetrate skin rash/prickly rash/nappy rash

Hi guys,

Just for education purposes, I was wondering whether the HIV virus can penetrate through skin with a rash which stings when, for example, you touch water. The closest example, I suppose is nappy rash, or something similar, which stings when it comes in contact with say water. Do things like this count as an open wound? For example, to take it to the extreme, if someone with an open bloody cut was to come in contact with a rash area of your body, would you be at risk of infection?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks.

Thanks Vance, just thought because it (i.e. sweat rash, etc) stings when liquid touches it and feels like it's an open wound that the HIV virus would be able to penetrate. Guess my biology skills are a bit rough...
