Hello Doctor,
I had done my root canal treatment 10 to 12 years before and had fitted a cap/crown on that teeth. It was until recently I found out (from an X-RAY) that my root canal teeth is having a minor infection and the dentist told me to get treatment done on that teeth again. Even tough there is infection, I am not having any kind of pain and also there is no swelling near that infection(its just dry/plain). Its is not even visible from the naked eye. The doctor/dentist found out about the infection from an X-Ray.(It might be some where deep down inside my cap/crown fitting and not visible from the naked eye but can be seen in the x-ray).
My question is: would saliva/kissing or breast milk from an HIV-positive person can spread HIV infection via that root canal infection in an hiv negative person? There are lot of websites which tell that HIV dont spread through saliva and also breast milk needs to be in large quantity to cause hiv in adult. But considering my case about the root canal, I would like to know the answer.
This particular thought is terrifying me a lot. I have lot my stability. I am not able to concentrate on my work. I am totally terrified. I would be greatly appreciable for those whose give me the answer.
Thank you...
