Can I give HIV to my girlfriend by fingering her?

by nycguy1975, Oct 13, 2008 02:27AM
I recently visited an escort for the first time and afterwards I told my girlfriend about it.  We decided to put it behind us and agreed that we wouldn't have sex until I got tested at the 3 month mark.  However, the other night, we engaged in mutual masturbation and I fingered her for a few minutes.  The problem is that I suffer from eczema and the finger that I was using on my girlfriend had a tiny "weeping" wound just above my fingernail.  I don't usually notice these wounds unless I come into contact with something acidic (lemon juice, some soaps, etc).  As I was fingering her my finger started to sting and I knew that I must have had some sort of eczema outbreak.  So I stopped then and there.  My question is could have I put my girlfriend at risk by fingering her?  The tiny eczema wound on my finger wasn't gushing blood or ooze or anything.  But if I squeeze hard enough small amounts of fluid will eventually come out.  Is this a risk to my girlfriend?  I already made a big mistake and I hope I didn't make it any bigger.  Any input, guys?

Hi there,

No risk from your incident of fingering.

Thanks for the quick response.  But doesn't it matter that I had a tiny eczema outbreak on my finger?  I mean this is "broken skin" right?  Isn't there a way my fluids could have infected my wife?

No it does not matter.
