You didn't have a risk and yes saliva has over a dozen different enzymes and proteins that inhibits HIV transmission.

i guess to get HIV from kiss, both party need to gushing blood like the vampire for it to be a risk, along with fresh cuts as well in the mouth.
thanks again, new year is coming, i m going to leave this in 2008.
moving on to 2009
Happy new year everyone!
Saliva from your ex-boyfriend does not contain HIV fluids. HIV viral load is stated to be present in blood, semen and vaginal discharge. As such, how can saliva, which inhibits HIV virus spread to you through mouth through your kissing scenario? Even if there was blood, your saliva will kill the and your stomach acids will destroy the virus. I think your you need not worry about that as its under the non-existent category.
There is nothing more to add. You did not have a risk.
anyone mind share their view towards my encounter?
no offense to aardvarkadmirer at all, hope you can understand.
thank you
o whoa, really? Aardvarkadmirer. Thank you so much for the great information.
How come those site stating kissing carries a risk, without saying the enzymes in saliva can inhibit HIV ...
they really got me very worried.
thank you for telling me that!
This is absolutely, utterly, completely not a risk - even if the dude jammed a bloody tongue down your throat.
Saliva has a whole cocktail of enzymes that inhibit HIV transmission, and there has never been a confirmed case of HIV transmission by kissing.
You can rest easy here.
