Can I test today?

Hey how are you guys doing today you guys are great been reading this forum for a month it really calmed me down i recieved oral sex at the beginning of august I know its said to have no risk but can i test today to battle my anxiety and get on with life i want to take a rapid test what do you think?

Here is the issue testing without a risk. A false positive is always a risk. So lets say you get a false positive, then you will gave to go for a WB and wait several days for the results. If you have anxiety over a non-risk issue then think about your anxiety over a false positive.

Now it is never a bad idea to test to know your status. It is recommended for all sexually active people to test for STD's and HIV every 1-2 years. But testing to just ease your mind is ok, but you have to remember about the false positives. Rare but does happen. And rapid oral gives a higher false positive then rapis blood.

Hey thanx for the reply it was just one instance while me and my girl was seperated now we are back it is the rapid blood test with a finger ***** I know its no risk but the the what ifs will kill a mans sanity lol sorry to be a pest so can I take a rapid blood and be done with it now?

Since your risk was no risk, you can test anytime you want.

sorry bud forgot to ask with a rapid test if you get a false positive what happens then?

they take blood for a western blot test which is a confirmation test. even non-rapid tests can give false positives.
