Can condoms leak???

Please see link above regarding condom leak,
I was always advised that if a condom failed it would spilt open? can condoms leak such as the above and if so would that class it as unprotected?

Let us know when a penis puts out as much as a water facet and with that much pressure. Then let us know when a condom company recommends using water to test a condom.

Thank you myfreind for the experiment and reasurance. I got tested once again today with the oral test which is seven weeks post exposure and it's negative. I went to the lab after that to get the proper test and the result will be available on friday. will post the result. Wanna take this opportunity to appologise to TEAK i think i was a little bit harsh yesterday. I'm just a paranoid guy at the momment cos of the crazy things going on with my body. lost ten pounds over one month? Pharyngitis? etc. etc. and these happened post exposure. It's been going on and off for a month now and still does not burge. Diarrhea, headaches, nausea, sweating. Come on!!!!!!! It's scary

KWAHOME - FOr reasurannce and for my own as your post concerned me, i did an experiment earlier by filling a condom with water. I was amazed to notice that there was too a leak like you described when i held it up. However i realised that i had got water on the tip from the sink. When i cleared it up and left it for a 10 minutesno leak present and the drip dissapereaed. FUrthermore i placed a pinhole in the tip thereafter and filled with water and it basically ruptured.  

Ina dditon, dependent upon what brand of condom you used, here in the UK they are kitemarked/CE. This conforms to testing and one of these is not random but every condom has an electrical current test to ensure no holes etc. The same applies in America. On top of the doctors response i now believe you werent at risk and try not to panic through this unsettling time. Guilt of what you have done is the driver of all your fears - trust me i know.

"You had condom-protected sex.  How the condom was put in place and the fact it was used for both oral and vaginal sex does not change that central fact.  And the minor leaking you saw when testing the condom some time later is meaningless.  If a condom doesn't overtly break wide open, the sex was protected."

I respect you a lot but to be honest with you, you're beginning to annoy me. If you have noticed, i have not posted anything new on this forum in a few days. I only responded to the questions the guy had about my condom leak experience. I no i'm not going to get any other advice from you other than "no risk move on" so i will not bother to ask anymore. I was not dreaming or hallucinating when i tested the condom. Well it may be irrelevant since it was a day later that i tested it but the point is that, there was a leak period. Now! whether i was infected because of that leak or not, is between me and my God. If i was destined to be infected this way, No matter what theory exist about this beign no risk, I will definately be infected (I hope not though).

Now You can suspend me or ban me. Cos i'm just tired of your constant threat. I tought this site was built to help nervous people like me but apparently, I'm getting a different feelings. Have a great day.

This was no way an exageration. I tested the condom and noticed a leak. This has realy put me in extreme anxiety mode ever since. I was perfectly healthy before this incidence but i have been sick for more than a month with various Symptoms which makes me think i was exposed through the leak in the condom. I new my HIV status before the incidence but now i have all the symptoms. I went to the doctor yesterday and the first thing that came out of his mouth was Lets get HIV test done before we even proceed. I have some wierd ulcers in my throat, and the whole throat area is inflamed. In addition, my numerous  symptoms are so vague, and can not be attributed to anything than HIV and i know the doctors are right because they do not know my sexuall history For example they don't know that i was exposed a month ago.
So i'm just hoping that it's not HIV but i'm afraid that all signs are pointing to that.

it would be my guess that this was simply water dripping off the outside of the condom.

Do you think this was an inaccurate portrayal of events and perhaps water ran down the side protraying a leak?

I only ask as i have used condoms in the past and on a occasion never ejaculated therefore unable to check for small holes or leaks such as the example displayed by this gentleman on the post to DR H
