Can i forget about Hiv?

I had 2 negative duo tests at 4 weeks and 9 weeks after a one time unprotected vaginal sex with a female of unknown status. Can i move on or do i need to re-test? I am terrified.

Thanks

You have tested conclusively negative.  None of the issues you write of are associated with HIV.  We wish you the best and are now closing this thread.

Your 28 day test was conclusive, so it is abnormal to continue testing for the same disease that you CAN'T have. You don't test for the other 5,000 human diseases that you might ACTUALLY have so time to put HIV in the same category.

Thank you for your time. Sorry for long post ahead.

I read many times that 4th gen is considered, albeit "unofficially", conclusive after 4 weeks which i had my first one at 31 days.

However, after the second test at 66 days, i developed 2-3 unexplained raised skin color bumps on both of my hands for no apparent reason (never had such a thing before). The dermatologist said it is  an allergic reaction to something. Well, i don't have any allergies and neither beleive i developed one all of a sudden. They were gone after a week - 10 days with the ointment she prescribed.

After a week or two from this incident (11 weeks after exposure) i started getting occasional raised bump (or bumps) on my skin that pop usually in any of my arms or my hands at random times.. That is exactly what triggers my hiv anxiety.. (and maybe they are BECAUSE of anxiety). They are itchy exactly when they are popping, for a few minutes - (when the itch comes i know i am gonna have a bump or two very soon)- they stop itching almost right after they are visible. It is  almost always only one bump, rarely two. Small / medium size. Skin colored. They Usually disappear after a few hours or the next morning, completely. Like it never happened. Looks and feels like insect bites but i know they are not. I am usually very healthy, i do a full blood count yearly and recently done full std screening (including my 66th day hiv test), looking all good . I can't understand where these bumps are coming from...

Based on your knowledge, could it be related to hiv in any way? Am i only paranoid that maybe the second test missed me? Both tests done at a very reputable lab.

The fear of infecting my spouse unknowingly is killing me. Also the thought of waking up 10 years later with full blown aids. Do i need another test or a therapist? Either way i need help.Thank you for listening.
