Can someone please explain oral thrush?

Some mornings, when I wake up, I have white spots on my tongue.  These spots go away after brushing my teeth and tongue and do not come back until the next morning.  Some mornings they are not there at all.  I don't know how long this has been going on because I only started examining my tongue when I got this HIV scare.  I notice that it happens most when my mouth gets dry at night from sleeping with open mouth or something.  Does this sound like oral thrush?  Does thrush present like this, or does it pretty much stick around all day?

Doesn't sound like thrush to me.
Thrush is usually on the gums and palate, not just the tongue.
Ask a doctor to take a look, if you're concerned

Is thrush like having a harry tongue. My tongue feels different. I'm spitting normal, my moth isn't dry, but sometimes my tongue feels dry. I have 2 mouth sore that don't hurt, I just feel them with my tongue. THere like 2 whip marks on each side of my mouth. THey aren't opened though.

I think many, many, people have those marks if I understand what you are describing correctly.  They feel kind of like a slit on each side of your cheek when you feel them with your tongue, correct?  I wouldn't worry  about that.  Go get your test and rest easy BD.  You have to be negative.  If I am negative with my high risk and all the symptoms, I know you are.  But, believe me, I know that is one hard pill to swallow.

Strange things happen. ANd I've always been unlucky. The only other thing I've done recently is fingering a girl and they claim you can't get it from that. If I have it no one would even believe how I got it. But I assure you thats all I did.
