If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
I have every symptomes til now...4 years later, Dysautonomia, Costo, Burning mouth, rash, rumha, cant breathBreath alcohol test Breath holding spell Breath odor, pain, not feeling good, dizzy and much more I am 24 years old. Male.
I asked my doc to request a HIV 1 antibody testing and HIV 2.
The test was requested and the results come back as follow:
I'm not a medical professional so I can't give you an honest answer there, but I can safely tell you that you do not have HIV, most people who are infected will test positive by 6 weeks post exposure. The window period is 3 months and assuming you haven't been exposed rescently you're well past that. Many people here say that unprotected oral is no risk for HIV and assuming the condom didn't break, you had zero risk. I don't know the cause of that infection but you can rest assured HIV is not the cause.
I too have prostatitis. I had an exposure about 5 months ago and I was diagnosed with gonorrhea and treated right away. I was tested for all stds (hiv, hepb, hepc, gonn/chlam, hsvI, hsvII) at 7 weeks and again at 13 weeks, and my results were negative. I took a bunch of antibiotics for my prostatitis, and none of them helped. Doc says i have nonbacterial prostatitis. My point:
1) Prostatitis has NOTHING to do with HIV
2) Are you sure you have bacterial prostatitis? Did they find Steph in your prostate again?
3) Nonbacterial prostatitis is hard to treat. Trust me, I still have it.
4) Were you ever infected with gonorrhea or chlamydia?
5) People have had prostatitis even thought they've never had sex. It's common.
Non bacterial prostitis, does not ultimatley mean there is no bacteria... it only means they could not find any. But if you study up on the testing procedures etc....
You will realize that finding the bacteria is no easy task. It could very well be there, they just can't get to it. So after a few tests they just throw up their hands and poof, they prounounce you with non-bacterial prostitis.
So now do you still have gono alive and well in your system... have no idea, did the meds kill the bacteria? I have no idea, but we do no antibiotic penetration into the prostrate is really poor, we also know that, out of all the anitibiotics, leviquin penetrates the prostrate pretty good. Too bad it is pretty inefective for gonorhea, and the side effects from leviquin are pretty ugly.
Hey, I know you from the other forum. Anyway, you're right about Levaquin and prostate penetration, however, it's really the fluoroquinolone type antibiotics which work well, of which Levaquin is a member. It's just that they happen to have better marketing to urologists. It's amazing, but those pretty girls in business suits really do get doctors to buy more stuff.
Anyway, you could try moxifloxacin (Avelox) if you'd like to switch antibiotics, it's more active against some organisms than Levaquin is. However, if you have a fluoroquinolone resistant strain of gonorrhea, none of those type of drugs are going to be very effective.
How does someone keep coming down with prostate infection from bacteria ?
I mean I had Steph infection of the prostae, what 23 years old has that ?
