what?? if i could find good answers elsewhere i wouldn't come here. I'm sure its not that hard to just answer this question in a sentence... and i said this would be my final question on the matter.
no i meant not to explain about the test but explain like why ur body would surely recognize hiv as a threat, not the test. thats what im wondering about.
Each HIV antibody test is treated to only have antibodies to HIV attach to the filter.
o ok, teak can u just explain why then im fully done.
Not when it comes to HIV.
oh i think u misunderstood my question, i mean can an immune develop antibodies for some viruses but not other ones like it doesn't recognize the other ones as threats?
If you have antibodies from other viruses or infections in your body, they would NOT cause a FALSE NEGATIVE on an HIV antibody test. Very rarely, ANTIBODIES from other viruses or infections MAY cause a FALSE POSITIVE result an an HIV antibody test. This does NOT mean the person is HIV infected. A repeat test using a different brand or type of test would be given which (if a TRUE FALSE NEGATIVE) would be NEGATIVE.

um lol can u explain ur statement i don't understand those technical terms.
Correct, cross-reactive antibodies DO NOT delay or prevent Seroconversion of HIV.

i mean so there can be no false negatives due to the fact that ur immune system works fine for every virus but this one on developing antibodies or such way of acting for antibodies don't exist?
so there can be no false negatives like that?
Very, very rarely, a "False-Positive" is obtained on HIV Antibody Assays due to Cross-Reactive Antibodies from other conditions. Antibodies from other conditions will NOT cause a False NEGATIVE or delay Seroconversion.
