Candida due to anxiety ?
I became extremely anxious one night about my thoughts of having contracted HIV. Within 48 hours, diarrhoea set in and I actually saw white coloured stuff in the stool. There was also fungal growth on the tip of my penis. Can anxiety lead to fungal growth ? Have any of you experienced this thing before ? This continued for around 4-5 days before I calmed down. I also met a doctor who gave clotrimazole cream for application around the glans penis. The fungal growth on the penis and diarrhoea then disappeared.

I googled up this thing and most articles show the reverse link - of how the gut flora can cause anxiety. My experience was the reverse - I became anxious suddenly at the thought of having contracted HIV, and within hours there was penile thrush and diarrhoea a day after. There was white (cotton balls like) stuff in the stool as well. Can anxiety cause such things ?
