I'm addicted to this site. I figured I would post a question to see if anyone wanted to comment.
There has been some talk below about the DNA PCR test being approved by the CDC. I was just wondering if anyone had any info on this. Or if anyone had any particular views on the DNA PCR test that they would like to share.
I personally have a 7 week DNA PCR negative. And a 10 week antibody negative. So, I'm feeling comfortable. But, like many of you out there, I'm still waiting for that 13th week.
And by the way, even though everybody in the world basically goes by the 3 month window. Why does the CDC still stick with a 3 to 6 month window? What is that all about?
Well, one of my questions hasn't been answered a hundred times. That is the question about the PCR DNA test. You posted a link to hivtest.org, which is a service of the CDC, and stated that the test had thereby been approved by the CDC. This seems like a new development that changes what we know about the test.
I still want to know more about this. When was it approved? Did they approve it for diagnostic purposes? Can I rely on my 7 week result?
