Can't find answer

I am worried about an exposure to a small amount of blood. I don't want to say too much but if a person were to ***** herself on a needle (like a sewing needle) and it was only minutes after another person if the other person was known to be hiv positive would there be cause fo worry.  I have read that a sewing needle is different then a syringe so I get that . and that hiv does not survive long in the air but I can't find a number of minutes. Would 5 minutes or so be long enough for a small amount of hiv blood to still be danger?  I am a costume designer and am in this scenario.

The structure of the virus pathogens is destroyed by the outer environment faster than you can snap your fingers.  Also, HIV has NEVER transmitted in this fashion.

Why is 5 min long enough for hiv to die or would amount of blood be too small?

No, this would never be a mode of transmission of HIV.
