Chances of HIV exposure?

While I was having sex with a guy, he inserted his penis into my anus without a condom once, and I immediately asked him to take it out. He then put on a condom before we continued intercourse. After intercourse, I saw trace amounts of blood on the condom, and I assume it's due to a tear in my anus. Although he says that he is HIV- and had his annual physical done 2 months ago, I will assume that his status is unknown. His penis had no visible cuts. What are the chances of contracting HIV if he indeed had it?

Chances are very low from such a brief exposure, but not zero.  Just get a 4th generation (Ab/Ag) test 4-6 weeks post-exposure, and you'll know for sure.
