Welcome to our Forum.  I hope my comments will be helpful to you.  If your partner used a condom and it remained on throughout sex then the exposure you describe was no risk.  If you do not know or if it was not on for the entire time, you should be tested not only for HIV but for STDs.  In fact, either way, you should probably be tested as part of your regular health maintenance activities.  As a matter of personal protection, we recommend annual testing (for HIV and other STDs) for anyone who has had a new or two or more sex partners in the past year (we consider this to be health maintenance- we also recommend you get your blood pressure and cholesterol checked regularly).

That your partner did not ejaculate does not mean that you could not get an STD, including HIV or, for that matter, pregnant.

I doubt that your symptoms are due to an STD or HIV but getting tested is a reasonable thing to do.  Testing for most STDs at this time will be reliable.  If your symptoms were due to HIV, your HIV test would be positive at this time. Otherwise. an HIV test at sometime around 8 weeks or beyond is the most definitive answer to the question of HIV infection.

I hope these comments are helpful.  EWH
