Concerned about HIV exposure with oral sex and also fingering with an open cold sore and cut on the finger

I had sex with an Escort in New York city 28 days ago (Jan 21st). I wore a condom but I gave her oral sex and I also fingered her. After the encounter I realized that there was an open cold sore and a small cut on my finger the one I used to finger her (the sore and cut were there prior to the encounter) so I'm worried now about HIV, also I'm worried because I gave her cunnilingus. I'm thinking about getting tested for std's. I've seeen online the Proviral HIV DNA by PCR

I've read conflicting reports on whether Provial HIV DNA testing is reliable. What do you think I should do? Can I trust the Proviral HIV DNA by PCR test or do you think I should get both that test and the other screening test for the 7 STDs?

My main reactions are 1) you are spending far too much time and energy wasting time on the web and 2) you don't HIV HIV testing at all, certainly not the expense of a PCR test; and you do not need testing for other STDs.  You had safe sex by all definitions.  The likelihood your escort partner has HIV is low; see my second reply in a recent thread on this forum (http://www.medhelp.org/forums/hiv/messages/808.html).  Even if she were, the likelihood you were infected was near zero; there has never been a documented HIV transmission (in either direction) by cunnilingus or by hand-genital contact, with or without cuts or other lesions (search the forum threads for 'cunnilingus' and 'hand-to-genital transmission' for other discussions).  The likelihood you were infected with HIV is zero.  But for anxiety relief, have a standard HIV antibody test 6 weeks after the event.

Hello Doctor,

I'm having trouble getting an informed opinion regarding a slight variation of this individual's concern.  Would your risk assessment be essentially the same if that person's same finger-cut had come into contact with SEMEN instead of the vaginal fluids of his situation?

Thanks very much; I see much discussion regarding cuts and vaginal fluids, but very little concerning semen exposure to a cut.
