Concerned about hiv strains

I recently just got tested  a clinic down where I live and they checked me with I think 4th generation hiv test and also a pcr test I don't know if it was RNA or DNA and were negative. My risk was months ago it might sound wierd but I'm still worried cause the guy I had a risk with was from Germany and he slept with people there. I'm all the way in NYC. Is there any possibility that I have some different type of strain or type of hiv and it's not showing up with the us tests cause I heard about hiv- and hiv-2 so I'm confused. Would pcr and 4th generation pick up anything wherever you gotten it around the world? Very concerned someone educated please answer thank you very much.

Thanks for the reply. So a pcr test and fourth generation can pick up any type of hiv even if if someone got it from another part of the world? My risk was unprotected sex with a guy in the army from Germany. Please reply I am very anxious. I'm calling back tomorrow at the clinic to ask if they can check me for hiv-2 with pcr
