Condom Burst - HIV Infection

Hi,

I am a 29 year old man. Till date I have had sex with 11 girls from the escort service. On all ocassions I have had safe and protected sex i.e with condoms and only viginal intercourse and no kissing,no anal or anything else. On the 11th ocassion when I had sex after ejaculation I realised that the condom had burst. I asked the girl if she is safe and she told me that she is safe and without HIV.

I know for the fact that the condom should have burst the last minute, because I had pulled out my penis to change position and it was fine that time. there could have been a max 1 min without condom vaginal intercourse.

But I am worried about the fact that the condom burst and there is a risk of HIV.

Please advise if I would be infected with HIV and my chances of infection.

I would also like to tell you out of these 11 intercourse once a girl started giving me a blowjob without condon and I immediately stopped her and asked her to use a condom.

I request you to answer my query and let me know about my chances of infection.

And if I need to go for a HIV test after how many days of unprotected sex should I go for one. And is it advisable to go for a test in my case.

Look forward for your help.

Cheers

PEP is not recommended.

should you stop worrying and move on?   you need to test at the appropriate time...THEN you can move on.

Hi,

I spoke to a few health advisor and they told me that the chances of HIV infection in my case is very very low.

I asked them if i should go through PEP and they told me that they wouldnt recommed and if i want they will help me with that but PEP has adverse side effects and in my case not recommendable..And also told me that, even if i had sex with an HIV infected women and 1 min or 2 min exposure without condom the chances of HIV infection is very minimal.

Is this true and should I got for PEP or just stop worrying about it and move on..

Look forward for your help and advise.

Thanks..

I fully agree with liz, also I wish to add that escorts are more aware of hiv than clients and the also prefer to play safe, and most likely she told you the truth reg her status. Putting all this into context I feel you there is no need to worry and if you are concerened take a test at 8 weeks or 3 month mark you will be negative for sure.

two things in your favor.

#1...it is more difficult to contract hiv from a woman than vice versa
#2...the amount of time "unprotected" was minimal

"more than likely"  you were not infected...but we can NOT guarantee you that.

the ONLY way to know your status is by testing.
