I am having a difficult time understanding how a condom will stay on a penis that is not erect. Unless you are buying them about 30 sizes too small, that is.

The bottom line is this: if the condom fits snugly, and does not come off, it should be fine (the idea is that the condom forms a protective barrier between yourself and your partner's bodily fluids - as well as providing a barrier between your partner and your bodily fluids). While I cannot imagine how this would be the case in terms of a flaccid penis, well, lot's of things I cannot, or would rather not, imagine, so...

Alcohol and sex don't mix, if you don't remember take a simple test and find out what your status is. I hardly doubt that you will return anything but a negative.

I meant more of in the sense that during the act it becomes flaccid (don't ask), comes out, condom still intact (and on), would it still be protection. If, in the slim chance, that I come out negative, I think I'm going to seek therapy for all of this obsessive worrying. Hah, (mental) therapy = best outcome.

This is true. Are my fears related to this completely unwarranted? I was intoxicated at the time, which tends to make me flaccid, and so I thought this may cause the condom to slip off (although I do not explicitly remember this). I'm really freaking out.

Pretty hypothetical situation however assuming lets say, if the tip of your penis is protected, you're safe.

Thank you for your responses, even though most of us spill our worst fears on here, it is somewhat therapeutic because it is the anti internet symptom search (and if you're on here, you obviously need it). The more I read on the internet, the more I get seriously freaked out. I just took another rapid test after work (if you want to call it that, since I have been so nervous I can barely concentrate) today. Negative after 54 days (2 days short of 8 weeks). My tongue symptoms are still here though (as are about 10 tiny red dots randomly dispersed on my body) of course. I don't know how I am going to get to 13 weeks...

I sure hope so, man. I hope all of us who are seriously freaking out are. I swear, if we didn't have the internet, we wouldn't be going through all of this...

The question is, how can you function if you aren't erect?
