Condom Question

The other night I had protected sex once with a woman I met over the internet. We were french kissing and there was plenty of fingering going on but from what I have read on this site these isnt much risk in that. However, I was going to use a Trojan brand latex condom but she told me she had a latex allergy. So I had to use the ones she brought which were Skyn condoms made from polyisoprene. My question is,  which is better? Did my risk go up of HIV infection by using this type of condom? I feel I did everything right I'm just not to sure about the condom I used looking back at it.

Polyurethane condoms are used when people have allergies to latex. They are just as protective in preventing HIV and most STDs.

Thanks, I'm not going to worry to much about it then. It didn't brake and I held on to it so it wouldnt come off during the act.  I washed up immediatly after with hot soap and water so I think I'm safe.

Washing immediately after hot water and soap is not a guarantee to "sterilize" you, because transmission never takes place outside. The key point is, your condom (it was made of synthetic material and not of natural rubber or some membrane skin) remained intact and did not fail. So you are safe.

Hi  ,  what do you mean by  condom that  is made of natural rubber  (not latex)??
Cann't it protect hiv like  lambskin condoms??  Or Do some prostitutes use it?
