Condom broke during insertive anal_Please help!!!

Hello, I had insertive anal with a TS and the condom ended up having hole or tear of about half an inch on top of the condom. The TS told me right away to pull out because she felt that it broke, I pulled out and checked the condom and saw that there was a half inch hole on top of the condom so not sure how long I was inside her anus unprotected. My assumption is that not too long otherwise the condom would have busted in half instead and my whole penis would have been exposed, to be conservative lets say no more than 1 minute. I asked her if she is poz she said no and tested neg. last week and had not have any risky exposure until today. She told me that she felt it break right away and told me to pull out and she can tell if a condom break so she said that it could have just been no more than 1 minute, maybe even in the seconds, she did not seem too worry so that makes me a littlw worry. What are my chances of getting HIV? Also for condom breaks, having a hole/ means that the break was not for too long, would my assumption be correct? Also no visible blood on the condom or my penis. I read on the forum that a condom failure would not have a hole on top but will split or bust in half exposing the whole penis but in this case I double checked and there was a hole og maybe half to an inch on top of the condom. Thank you

IF you had an exposure, it was MINUSCULE, due to both the short duration and minimal breakage. It sounds like a break that you both caught right away since the condom didn't have a chance to shred further from friction. It really isn't something that you should be concerned about at all. But since you keep posting here you are not likely to let this go until you have tested. I think due to your own observations as well as your partner's, as well as the fact that this is likely to continue to play on your mind, testing is advisable.

You should approach testing as a matter of routine, like a dental appointment, and expect a negative result. Most people who catch HIV have multiple high risk exposures for weeks, months, and even years. Yours barely registers as an exposure. Just have a single antibody test at 3 months, collect your negative result, and move on with your life. Resist the temptation to search the internet on HIV and visit HIV forums until you have tested- find something else to get this off your mind. You really have a tiny, tiny risk here, if any.

Also, can the condom with a rip stay the same size with prolonged anal sex or would it have busted completely?

Hey Teak,

Now that I re read your post, you said sometime condoms have tears or rip? Can you clarify that? Been trying to remember everything, so I definitely remembered when I pulled out the condom was still on my penis and on my penis head I had to move the condom around to see the rip and finally found it and that is when I ran to the bathroom to run water tru it and it went right tru it. My penis head still had the condom on but now my worries are can that rip exposed my uretha.

Like I said, had the condom failed you would have known. Condoms do get small holes or tears in them. When a condom fails, it fails catastrophically. Let me know when your penis discharges semen or urine at 45-85 psi like the household water supply.

Hello Teak,

Glad to hear from you, hope all is well. I did put water after the TS told me that he/she felt that the condom could have been broken, so i ran to the bathroom put water in it and it went right tru it and I double checked the condom and yes there was a rip on top of the condom, the rip/hole was quite noticeable so I freaked out! My logic tells me that it if the rip was long enough the condom would have burst in half and expose my whole penis but it was not the case but i still have the what ifs. I remenber pulling it out and checked before the rip and it was ok, then I inserted then thats when the TS told me that the condom broke so I am praying that it was very short in duration.

No. Had you had a condom failure, you would have known it without even removing the condom from your penis. You never put water in a condom to check for leaks.

Anyone on here ever tested positive after broken condom during insertive anal?

If the head of the penis has been exposed, you can get tested. Ideally this shouldnt happen, however you are the best judge.

The top of the condom, when I pulled out the top of my penis was still covered I think, until I ran into the bathroom to run water tru it that I noticed the rip on the top of the condom, not the base.

Hey Teak,

I know but would be reassuring to hear from you. Do you think the condom would still have a half inch rip on the top if the sex was longer than 1 minute since I used 1 minute to be conservative, i hope it was in the seconds. How would you assess my risk? thanks again

I know but sometimes, you just need someone to tell it again in your face because the paranoia sets in and I told myself to not freak out but here we go again, been playing safe and now this.
