Confirming Oral Risks/Testing

I am going to be direct as possible.

About 2 Months ago i had an encounter with another male...I am male (first time...and i regret it big time).  He preformed oral on me for a few minutes (5 at the most) no ejaculation..i preformed oral on him for about 15 seconds (i didnt like it).  I dont recall any pre-*** when i was performing on him.  that was all we did besides mutual JO

I assume minimal risk for this encounter...however for peace of mind and to protect my health i got an HIV test done at 6 weeks (i get the results tomorrow) and follow that up with a 12 week test..just wanted to confirm I am on the right track from the forum members

Yeah im in Toronto...Hassle Free takes 2 weeks to get an appointment..the rest of them only do anonymous testing..at the regular 2 weeks.

Hassle Free clinic is the best.. but you can go to any of the others. Ive been to hassle free, to the queen west center, to the parkdale clinic location also on queen street for HIV rapid tests. U can typicall book the same week at the other locations as hassle free is very busy. Not sure if u are in Toronto area though.

I know there is no need for testing.

Its already done..I was just commenting on the availability of the home access test in Canada based on my experiences.

I think you can go to the Home Access website and even order a test.  I'm certain there's a way for you to get your results - even if you can't call the 800 number.  You're going to be negative ... and again, there's no need for testing.  I hope you'll be able to put this down, because trust me, HIV anxiety can be a VERY slippery slope.

You can buy a home acces test via internet and mail it to the us and get the results in 3 days. anyway they would be negative

I only did the test because of the theoretical possible risk and it was part of a full STD test...i had to wait 2 weeks for the results i am in Canada.

There is only one rapid testing facility here and you have to book an appointment 2 weeks in advance..so it doesnt really make sense to go there and do it.

I know Teak says NO RISK at all..but from what I read there is a VERY VERY small risk..

Your test would be negative oral sex carries a very slim theorical risk, so test is not even warranted, since you already did it, get your 6 week negative and move on, if you cant then retest at 12 weeks but just for peace of mind, not becouse is needed.

Hope it helps

From what you've described, this doesn't sound like an HIV situation.  If you need to get tested for your own peace of mind, then do so (probably wise if you're sexually active anyway).

As far as regretting the experience - hey, you tried it and didn't like it.  I hope you don't spend time beating yourself up over it, though.  The good news is, you had safe sex - that is wise on your behalf.  Best of luck - you will be fine.
