Confused from what NP said about risk

I posted on here several weeks back, have messaged Teak directly and thought that I had a zero risk but my Nurse Practioner at my doctors office has made me concerned. Here is my scenario in short...back in July I helped a man at my place of employment who had cut himself badly on our pool pump. He was actively bleeding and required help with his band aides. While I was helping him, he got blood on my finger. From what I could remember, the blood landed on my finger nail. I immediately went to the restroom, wiped my finger off and proceeded to wash my hands. As I was washing, I noticed that I had an infected hang nail on the same finger that the blood was on. I became about a low risk. NickOne and Teak said no risk. In recent events leading up to my questioning, I developed night sweats (not drenching, but waking up wet) a sore throat and a mild fever that lasted about a week. Prior to developing these symptoms, I had my gallbladder removed one week after my incident and had a rare complication from surgery and was sick for two months after. So, I thought that I had developed yeast infection (which I have only had 2 prior in my life from antibiotic use) and was blown away by having one out of the blue. The NP at my GYN did a went mount and said that I had bacterial vaginosis to which I was floored becaused I had NO symptoms of BV. She gave me a rx for flagyl. Two weeks after taking the medicine, I was still having problems with what I thought was a yeast infection and saw another NP two days ago. She did a wet mount again and said it was not yeast or Bv, but it looked like yeast and wondered what could be causing me to have symptoms. She started to ask me about whether my husband and I are monogamous (which we are and my husband would never cheat as he came from a broken home from cheating) and if I could have had any possible exposures to anything out of the ordinary. I was taken back but described what happened in July and what happened since then. The NP immediately said that it would be a good idea for me to be tested as symptoms that I described having from my "complications" after surgery to night sweats, to my infections could have been seroconversion and early infection signs. She gave me a req to go have a test done.  Now, she has me worried...I have read a lot on this forum and have believed and taken to heart the opinions I have been giving. Does anyone think that she is right and that I should take the test????
