Could groin pain be a sign

Hello, I am a 25 year old bisexual male. Last month, I tested negative for HIV. I have participated in low risk behavior and no intercourse for 8 months. I struggle with depression and it's been rough lately. I recently had unprotected anal sex (Top) 4 days ago. It was a stupid decision and I was not aware of the persons status. I had anal sex again today (bottom) and it was the first time since 12/2016. It was extremely intense and aggressive, and immediately after, I felt moderate pain in my groin. The pain only occurs when I touch specific spots in my groin, not when pressure is not applied. Is moderate to severe groin pain a symptom of an early HIV exposure, or could this be from having agressive anal sex (bottoming)?

You had unprotected anal, which I hope you realize is THE highest risk for HIV. You don't mention if the second encounter was protected or not, but the bottom line is YOU NEED TO TEST!

I am not a doctor, but I believe the groin pain you are feeling after the "intense and aggressive" anal sex you had yesterday is NOT an early sign of HIV. It is far more likely due to the nature of the sex you had the day before. But a doctor is the only one who can diagnose the source/cause of that pain.

I would strongly suggest you see your doctor as soon as possible and share ALL of these concerns with him. That you struggle with depression, but say that it's "been rough lately," is a red flag that needs to be addressed by someone far more qualified than me.

Please take care of yourself. Let your doctor help you.
Nothing is broken here that can't be fixed if you reach out for help............like you did when you wrote to us.

I wish you the very best.

You need to test 28 days after your last unprotected for a conclusive result, so try to relax until then. Symptoms are not used to diagnose because they don't prove anything, so you have to see your doctor about your pains.
