Could this be HIV? All input wanted.
Hi everyone. I had unprotected oral sex and protected intercourse on October 2nd. Two days after I became sick which lasted about 9-10 days. It started with a chill that came on very fast, I then went to sleep and developed a fever. I had swollen lymph nodes under the jaw for one day. I experienced diarrhea for two days then ended my sickness with severe pain in my ribs/stomach. For 2 days I also experienced a burning sensation (NOT during urination) but a tender feeling at the tip of the penis, after urination). Now all those symptoms are gone and all I have is a tiny swollen lymph node in my groin area (along the line that makes the "V" shape below your belly button. I went into the free health clinic and they told me that the symptoms didn't seem like the "flu" since I didn't have a cough or sore throat. They also told me that it didn't appear that I had any symptoms of an STD/HIV.
The next day I went into the Hospital to have them examine me. I showed them where I thought the swollen lymph node was and they told me that it wasn't of any size of concern and that I had no other issues after examining me.
I had a recent checkup, about a week ago (around October 29th) with my new Doctor and he said he knows I am HIV free but said to prove that to test in 6 months. I notice some growling sounds in my stomach and it made me worried because all I've had since those flu like symptoms that were over a month ago, is a stuffy nose and these little growling sounds in my stomach.
I suffer from extremely bad anxiety and feel I may be talking myself into believing the worst possible scenario. Its only been two weeks so I can't get tested. Any input would help out a lot right now, thanks.

When we say no risk, they're all based on the assumption that the partner is INDEED HIV+ and most people don't.
I donno Teak, once I had 3 negative tests and she had one I was good. The she started dating an IV drug user, she doesn't use IV drugs. But since I made out with her (deep French kissing with split lip) after she had been with him, I got scared.

Hey Teak. I've never been with anyone that's been with a IV drug user before I got with them. Given my split lower lip andeewp kissing. Am I still at no risk? I'm really nervous cuz u can also see my saliva ducts in my mouth (two little red dot holes on each side). Are these (split lips/saliva ducts) ways to get infected?
Ricky what I'm saying is she got with the IV drug user after we had sex. But last night I deeply French kissed her while i had a split lower lip. So I'm nervous because this exposure was after she got with the guy.
Your test has been conclusive even before you get tested because you had no HIV risk, no matter what. That simple.
She was previously dating an IV drug user about a month ago. But she tested negative 2 weeks ago via Oraquick swab. She said he was clean and tests for HIV/studs Does the fact of who she was with make a difference on my exposure. I hear IV drug user and freaked out. :/
Thank you Ricky for your time and patience with me! My friend and I were discussing transmission ways today big one was to say have a cracked lip and a couple cuts in the mouth. Could they get infected by kissing someone who is HIV+. I've read conflicting info on this subject.
Actually you should've posted this on a new thread, but I would be direct on this: You're conclusively HIV negative.
Your testing proves you did not get HIV. You need to trust your results. Your dry skin has nothing to do with HIV!

I'm not an expert, but I assume that if you were HIV positive, smoking whatever would not have an effect. Think about it; if the HIV was there, it would show, regardless of anything else. Once you have it, you have it, and nothing you do can change that fact.

you have previously been assessed, on this forum AND the drs forum, as NOT having a risk for contracting hiv.
